Mika Pietilä

I started youth work year 1995 as a youth worker at a local youth house. As part of a local participation project (one of 20 projects which were part of a national wide participation project) my task was to found a youth information centre in the city of Kokkola year 1997.

After several years of youth information work on local level there were a group of youth workers and young people who started to plan a regional youth information service. That project I run for three years, beside being responsible for local youth information centre and communication affairs for youth department of Kokkola city.

Beginning of year 2006 I moved to Oulu, and started my work as Information Advisor at The Youth Information Centre Nappi. From September 2007 I have worked for the Coordination and Development Centre of Youth Information and Counselling in Finland as Planning Officer.

At the moment I have my second three years mandate in the ERYICA board, as a treasurer, responsible for communication and training issues in the board. I am also member and Governing Board responsible of the current ERYICA Training Task Force (until GA 2014) and accreditated YIntro trainer (YIntro and Digital YIntro).
