Great!
It's great that the JIMMY training actually starts!
In the Netherlands we have trained around 80 youth workers and other professionals working with adolescents as Youth Information Mediator in the past 2 years.
They do NOT replace youth information workers and/or youth information centres.
For these youth workers it’s merely a new tool with witch they can give their professional relation with young people a significant extra dimension. For the young people they work with it means that they have easy access to basic youth information and the JIMMY’s can introduce them to the official youth information services. I strongly believe that this concept is a benefit for everyone: youth, youth workers en youth information services.
I hope that this call for this JIMMY training for trainers gets a lot of response!
