“Yintro -Stepping Into Youth Information” training course for youth information workers, in Cyprus

“Dear all, the Youth Board of Cyprus, ERYICA Member Organisation and the National Agency of Cyprus of the “Youth in Action Programme”, invite you to take part at a “Yintro -Stepping Into Youth Information” training course for youth information workers, in Cyprus.
Dates:
27/11/1011 – 3 /12/2011. Sunday 27 November will be arrival day. In the night, there will be a welcoming dinner so we shall ask the participants to arrive to the airport the latest by the afternoon. The departure will be on Saturday 03 December in the morning. For that day, a visit to the Youth Information Centre in Larnaca and a tour and lunch in the city (if there is time) will be arranged. Therefore, if possible, flights should be arranged for noon that day.
Training venue:
We have planned to organize the training in a hotel between Larnaca (where the airport is) and Limassol (a nearby city). More details will be sent shortly.
Participants will be asked to send us their flight details so that we can arrange their transport from the airport to the venue and back. The transportation will be arranged for groups only so, keep in mind that some might need to wait others. We’ll organize everything beforehand so that you know what will happen. If anyone decides to travel on his own to the venue or to the airport and not with public transport, these expenses will not be covered by the organizers.
Description of the training:
As you can see in ERYICAs’ website (http://eryica.org/trainings/yintro) “YIntro is the training module of ERYICA for beginners in the field of Youth Information. It covers the basic areas of knowledge and skills needed for youth information work and is meant to be an introduction to the field. It is built on 4 areas
Area 1: Background and Principles of Youth Information
Area 2: Youth Information in Practice
Area 3: The Art of Working with Young People in a Youth Information Setting
Area 4: Continuous Professional Development in Youth Information Work”

The training will be in English, which means that all participants should have skills to communicate in English to complete the training.

Costs:
The YiA will cover 70% of your travelling costs. The travelling costs will be reimbursed after the training, by a bank transfer. Program, meals accommodation and transportation from and to the airport (as mentioned above) will also be covered by the YiA.
If you are interested to take part, please send an email to cheleutheria@youthboard.org.cy by 5th of October 2011, indicating your organization and number of participants you plan to send. Shortly after that, we’ll confirm your participation or not, depending on the number of requests.
